Sharp Advertising for Razor Refills

Published by hatednation at 11:30 am under Consumer Interest Edit This

Consumers are being robbed blind, ……..Color blind..

You are being scammed. As if the outrageous price of these products was not enough, you are being scammed too. Razor companies are making tons of profit off your eyes, that’s right, your eyes, and sneaky sales tactics. Companies are selling the very same product and using different colors, and sneaky advertising and charging you more. And your buying it.

The most incredible example of this is the Gillette series of razor refills. If you buy refills for the Mach3 Turbo or Mach3 Turbo power, your wasting money. The fact is all the Mach3 refill products are duplicates with the only variation being 5 more plastic fins on the “turbo” razor head refills. Gillette sells four refill cartridges for the “power” series for about $4.50 more than the regular cartridges. Buy both and compare them and you will find the only difference is a green carton and a green strip on the refill instead of the classic blue…Thats right, its just color.

The same goes for the Mach5 series, Again Gillette charges extra for the “power”series refill cartridges, the only problem with this  is that the “power” comes from a battery placed in the handle which causes the razor to vibrate, and has nothing to do with the refill cartridges, yet they still label packages ”for the power series”, add green boxes and charge upwards of $7 more. And consumers constantly buy the product.

The fact buyers do not seem to understand is that they do not need to spend more money buying the “power” refills just because they own the “power” handle. These product are identical. Its a sneaky sales tactic used to catch people who are not paying attention. Why would you pay so much more if you don’t have to?

I hear more and more people are trying to go green, but in this case I personally advise against it.
