How much is your Soul worth?

We have all heard the term “Sell your Soul” but now you can actually do it… or at least borrow against it.. In the city of Riga, located in the Baltic region, there is a loan company called Kontora, who will loan out money to absolutely anyone, no matter their age, credit history or whether they have any sort of collateral. Why? Because they lend against your soul.

That’s right friends, loan out your souls! The marketing gimmick has gotten the attention of the local religious leaders, who want the company investigated (On what charges I am not sure?) Some of the top religious leaders worry the ploy may be tied to Satanists using trickery to deceive people.

Now obviously, these loans are targeted more at the strong of faith, and maybe the company has guidelines for approving these loans, they usually do. I will continue to follow this story, so please check back for more!

I may not be a religious person but even I know that this is wrong. What happens to the soul once you take out a loan against it? How do they collect on the debt? How does that work exactly?

No one thinks that God could be giving out loans? Maybe someone prayed for a miracle. Maybe he thought in these times of economic chaos he would offer up his own stimulus. Hehehe. Maybe the loan value is directly related to the strength of the soul, not to the strength of the bank account. Maybe I’m just a crazy fool who likes to make people wonder. Who really knows?
