Crinkle, Crinkle, little car…
Now we know they went to far.. Despite assurances the the “cash for clunkers” program would rid the road of unruly gas guzzlers, the program flopped and ran out of money in about two months. Despite the lack of funds to carry out the program for intended time, the government program has been given a “bail-out” to keep it going. Senate approval of a House-passed measure would send a $2 billion extension of the program to the White House for the President’s signature. Does anyone doubt he will sign it?
The White House had warned that the program would likely have to be stopped early if the Senate didn’t quickly pass a bill transferring $2 billion to the program from an “economic stimulus account” that had been set aside for renewable energy programs. ( in preparation for “Cap and Trade” no doubt) The $2 billion addition would carry the program through September

At least I get something out of the deal…My 31 year old 4×4 keeps getting more and more rare! Soon it will be worth as much as the fuel that it eats!LOL…
